LIFE HOTEL AIRPORT at OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL Now Open
LIFE Hotels has announced the opening of its latest property at OR Tambo International Airport, five minutes by free half-hourly shuttle bus from the airport terminal buildings. The new 90 room property is aimed not only at the business traveler but also at leisure guests wanting "fun luxury" as they over-night at the airport.
Take the fact that your arrival snack is a fortune cookie, there are playstations and Wii-Fit in reception while an elongated outdoor swimming pool lets you do laps after a hard day's work or travel. "Our take on the hospitality industry is that the modern traveler values personal choice, wants the latest (and preferably free) technology, to live healthily and appreciates proximity along with stylishly-modern design - at an accessible price," says Signature Life MD Alan Vels. A new hotel group on the block, LIFE Hotels is aimed at the fun, trendy, stylish markets, with each hotel different in character but modern in design and offering efficient, friendly services and facilities, with a fresh look and feel, specifically located for large groups and the young up and coming middle market guest. The brand is also structured in four categories – airport, safari, chic and easy. The LIFE Airport Hotel at OR Tambo International Airport also offers two conference rooms (accommodating up to 150 delegates), an atrium chill area, lounges, a business centre, concierge services and an indoor restaurant with outdoor terrace, all complimented by free Wi-Fi throughout. Along with the Wii-Fit and the lap pool, other health facilities at the hotel include outdoor treadmills & exercise bikes.
All the hotel rooms include up-to-date conveniences such as iPod docking stations, laptop-size electronic safes, wifi, LCD TV's with satellite channels and multi-plug work stations while quality room niceties include expensive mattresses, 300 thread count sheets and duvets, coffee & tea stations and individually controlled silent air conditioning.
Each room consists of one and a half bedrooms (accommodating a maximum of 2 adults in a double bed and 1 child under 13.), a bathroom, kitchenette, lounge-dining area and a small outdoor balcony.
